Alaska Baptist Family Services (ABFS) is a non-profit Christian organization that provides residential treatment for children and youth in need. Our treatment counselors provide 24/7 supervision and are trained to work with youth from a trauma-informed perspective to assist them in increasing attachments to others, emotional regulation, and feelings of competency. Our supervisors and Clinicians provide a number of services such as on-site therapy with students and their families, treatment planning and educational supports.
Historically, Southern Baptists have been leaders in our country’s child welfare movement. Throughout the years, the driving force behind this movement has been to help children in need. ABFS is no exception, for over 50 years this organization has supported Alaska’s children and their families. Learn more »
