Our Master’s level Clinicians are formally trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based practice that provides the framework for all treatment provided at ABFS. Studies of children and youth have shown that TF-CBT results in improvements in:

  • Depression
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Anxiety
  • Interpersonal Trust
  • Social Competence
  • Trauma-Related Shame

Our program environments are structured with two primary goals in mind: Reduce the effects of trauma and increase resiliency. To help accomplish these goals, our Treatment Counselors provide 24/7 supervision to clients where they are implementing Trauma Informed, pro-active interventions to help reduce expressions of trauma. In addition, our programs provide the following services:

  • On-site Individual, Family and Group Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • On-side Medication Management by PHD Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • On-site Individual, Family and Group Substance Abuse Therapy
  • Daily Psycho-Educational Groups
  • Pre-teaching, Teaching, Redirecting, Modeling, and Limit Setting
  • Exposure to a wide variety of recreational, cultural, spiritual and leisure activities
  • Educational support services
